Deah Gabe, Office Manager

Hi! My name is Deah and I am thrilled to be working with these amazing women here at Lux & Associates! I have lived in the Puget Sound region my entire life and have made Federal Way my home since 2012. I began working at the age of 15 as a hostess at Azteca and haven’t stopped working since. I have had many interesting jobs including a brief stint as a telemarketer in high school, but have mostly worked in an admin role until 2008 when I left my cushy office job to follow my passion and teach preschool!

My educational background is in Early Childhood Education and I have always been called to serve my community in regards to children. For many years I did double duty working here in the Lux office and working for the school district in the afternoon. I have since decided that I could regain some sanity by only working for Lux and volunteering in various small roles in the community when it fits my schedule.

What else do you need to know about me? I have a sick love for paperwork and organizing which is what brought me back to office work. I am a giant Harry Potter fan, and no, you can never be too old to love all things Harry Potter. I am far too emotionally invested in the Seattle Seahawks and only watch the games with people I trust to still love me after a bad game. I have terrible taste in music – N*SYNC forever! I love live theater and reading.

I typically spend my free time volunteering or driving my kiddo to various sports and commitments. I volunteer in my kiddo’s school and have served in various roles on PTA boards and in local youth sports programs. When I am not running from commitment to commitment, I am running on a treadmill for my own sanity or enjoying a good glass of red wine. My husband, Matthew, has enjoyed my particular brand of crazy since 2003 and is a saint for it. Together we have one daughter, Julia, who is now a teenager and is going to change the world someday with her independent spirit! We also have an obnoxious bird named Buzz and our playful pup, Luna.
